12m Seabourne Classic Pilot house Motorsailor
This classic pilothouse motorsailor was
designed by the renown naval architect John Bain, one of the
associates of the famous Silver Yachts. She was built at E.
Seabourne Yard in Worcester (U.K.)
The hull is carvel – built of Burma teak planking on oak frames.
The original teak deck was replaced by a 2-layer of marine
plywood treated with epoxy and after covered with Treadmaster
for a non-slip effect.
Since 2001, the current owners sailed her from England, across
the French & Belgian Channels, Mediterranean and Adriatic seas
down to Greece and the Southwest coast of Turkey. They live
aboard 6 months a year.
She is a very comfortable yacht and her seaworthy lines and
stout hull are advantageous when cruising. Also, very economical
to use, she can cruise on one engine and the auto pilot with a
consumption of 4,5 L/H at a cruising speed of 7 Kn.
Original drawings available. The boat was built to Lloyds 100 A1
classification.
