Cruising suggestion. We

ancient sites Turkey is a treasure trove of the most
fabulous ancient sites,
We arrange transfer
to and from Dalaman Airport in Air-conditioned Coach or
Stretched Limousine; Their "Blue Voyage" can start from
Orhaniye Whilst awaiting Formalities, Marti Marina
Orhaniye makes a wonderful start to their holidays,
gives guests chance just to crash relax, after long
flights and travel, Just absorb the peace and
tranquility of Hisaronu Gulf and Orhaniye or from
Marmaris or Gocek, Crystal clear warm waters. Guests can leap into the
Sea from the yacht whilst at berth, these waters are exceptionally clear
and clean. Possibly take a meal at two of the best-loved restaurants
along the coast?
Historic trips we recommend a start:
Knidos Where the Statue of "Aphrodite's" was sited (now
in British Museum) This site is full of newly found and
excavated ruins in spectacular settings, Further along
the coast I call into Lorima, anchoring under the Castle
of the nights of "St. John", Then onto Ancient Caunos
with its fabulous River trip, Lycien Rock tombs, Roman
Mud Baths that are reputed to have rejuvenation powers,
To skin and youth to the body, Hot water springs and
freezing cold waters from underground springs. A
treasured place with views that will remain long after
the holiday is over. That evening eat in restaurant that
many famous people have visited, Prince Charles and
princess Diana cruised this area on their honeymoon.
Dustin Hoffman, Rod Stewart, Simon le-bon, Phil
Collins, are just a few of the famous to visit and
travel these waters,
What has now become known as the "Blue Voyage" Our trip takes us into Gulf of Fethiye an
Ancient Site that is hardly given a mention in Turkish
Travel Guides, An ancient and forgotten city of
mausoleums, Roman and Byzantine buildings, Our guests
can picnic amongst these Ruins set high in the mountains
3.000+years old, In total seclusion, undisturbed
enchanted by the magnificence of this once Ancient site.
Onto "Cleopatra's Baths" In Wall bay where it is reputed
Mark Anthony and Cleopatra spent their romantic times together frolicking in these wonderful warm waters and
Baths built just for Cleopatra. A huge wall was erected
to stop prying eyes hence the name "wall bay". If there
is room,
go into Tersane Island, Ancient Byzantine ship
Building Island still with ruins some in very good
condition.
From here your journey takes you to
"Gemile Island" Set under one of the highest mountains
along this coast line "spectacular" is an
understatement, For the more venturous a drive by Jeep
to the top of Baba Dag and fly down by "Hang Glider"
under supervision of experts, The mountain in Turkish is
called "Baba Dag" Father of all mountains, "Gemile" an
Island full of monasteries, Churches, exquisite mosaics,
This Island is reputed to have had an "Albino Princess"
so fair her skin, They built from one end of the island
to another a Tunnel so she could walk without the sun
harming her. The tunnel is still to be seen this very
day. St. Paul St. John St. Nicholas once lived and walked
this island. Visit Olu Denise "The Secret Sea", Another
famous Turkish Story about a wealthy traders Daughter
who fell in love with a lowly Fisherman is spoken by
locals to this very day, On past Seven Capes, Known
locally as the "Seven Sisters" Kalkan, Here guests can
visit Patara and Zantos fabulous Ruins in wonderful
settings. Then to Kas and the famous Sarcophagus in the
midst of their village.
Kekova Roads (Sunken City) guests can
snorkel over a city that has sunk below the sea, view
buildings that are now submerged. See stairs carved from
the rocks coming out of the water and leading down into
the sea that once led into Houses, Visit Koy Castle look
upon sunken lonely sarcophagus half submerged just in
front of entrance, Stand in the battlements of a castle
that has defended Kalkan, Myra birthplace of St. Nicholas
walk on one of the loveliest soft sand beaches bath in
freezing fresh water river. Ancient Olympus with tree
shaded Ruins and fresh water running throughout them
making them one of the most comfortable Ruins to visit
even in the heat of the day. My trip normally takes in
Phaselis with its wonderful aqueducts, A city that
enchanted "Alexandra the Great" so, He fell in love with
and found hard to leave.
This city of Phaselis has the most
spectacular scenery and ruins Hadrian's Gates still
stand proud to the entrance of this once famous city.
Whilst sitting in the Odeon that looks out upon the
mountains of Olympus you can picture the live shows that
once took place here. A small river feeds into the Bay
of Phaselis where wonderful Turkish Meals are set also
to most fabulous views. I end this trip in Antalya "Old
City" where if guests have time are even more
spectacular Ruins all short distances from Antalya
Termessus, Aspendos and Perge Our Guests Depart from
here flying back to Istanbul and new guest arrive?
Unless guests wish to do return to Orhaniye or Rhodes,
Another method we have used is to fly from island of
Kastelorizon (Mise) excellent service and cheap. With

Water
The most marinas and yachts are
equipped with Hot and Cold Water. Water is plentiful in Turkey and drinkable and for those
with tender stomachs bottled water can be easily obtained.
Shopping
Marmaris is full of shops, boutiques, small
food markets and two major food supermarkets.
The large supermarkets, Tansas &
Migros, are similar in size and products to many similar type stores in the western world
with branches in many towns in Turkey.
There is an excellent choice of wine, beer,
local and imported alcoholic beverages.
Security
After many years in Turkey we have not seen
or heard of any serious crime problems concerning the tourist or yachtsman; however normal
precautions are advised when handling money and/or expensive goods.
Normally you will feel more free than in
many places/countries in the west. Turkey relies on good relations with her vistors and
tourists, and apart from that, the Turks we have met are positive, helpfull, generous and
open.
Healthcare
Healthcare in Turkey is to a very good
standard. In Marmaris there are two hospitals; one Private and one State run.
Health(Travel) Insurance is advised in case
of emergency.
Eating Ashore
You and your party will eat well in many of
the fine restaurants; from the local Turkish Restaurants to the Fancy (top quality) western
style Restaurants.
